Born on September 2, 1989, King Saha, whose real name is Mansour Ssemanda, is a Ugandan singer and songwriter known for his contributions to Afro Beat, Zouk, Reggae, and R&B music genres.
Hailing from a modest background, King Saha's journey in the music world began during his formative years. He discovered his passion for singing while participating in the Mugonga church choir during his time at St. Agnes Primary School. His talent earned him recognition when he emerged victorious in a school singing competition, leading to the acquisition of a bursary.
From these humble beginnings, King Saha has steadily risen to become one of Uganda's prominent vocalists.
Saha initially joined Jose Chameleone's music label, Leone Island, as a backup singer. He recorded his early songs, including "Signal," in collaboration with producer Didi before embarking on a solo career.
His breakthrough moment came in 2014 with the release of his hit single, "Mulirwana," solidifying his presence in the music industry. Throughout his career, he has received several accolades, including awards like the Uganda Entertainment Awards (UEA), HiPipo, Rising Star Award, and numerous nominations within the Ugandan music scene.
In 2019, King Saha expanded his reach by participating in Coke Studio Africa, where he collaborated with fellow Ugandan artist Weasel and Ethiopian musician Yared Negu, working under the guidance of music producer Daddy Andre. This experience broadened his fan base beyond Uganda's borders.
As the head of Kings Love Entertainment, King Saha continues to enjoy success, with his tracks dominating the airwaves across the country. Some of his notable songs include "Biri Biri," "Very Well," "Hullo Hullo," "On My Way," and "Nkwagala."
Throughout his career, King Saha has collaborated with some of Uganda's most prominent artists, including Winnie Nwagi, Gravity Omutujju, Spice Diana, Weasel, Navio, Minayo, Mikie Wine, DJ Stuart & Roja, and many others.
